As we naturally age we tend to forget our hair is aging too. Interesting fact your hair is already technical already dead, because all the hairs you see on your body and head have that one thing in common: Yes its true they’re actually dead. Under a microscope, each one of your individual hairs looks like a thick tube. This structure is called a filament, or the hair shaft. A strong protein called keratin is what most of your hair is made of. The tiny blood vessels at the base of every follicle feed the hair root to keep it growing. But once the hair is at the skin’s surface, the cells within the strand of hair are not alive anymore. The hair you see on every part of your body contains dead cells.
But the new growth will begin to change as we age the rate of hair growth also slows. Hair strands become smaller and have less pigment. So the thick, coarse hair of a young woman eventually becomes thin, fine, light-colored hair. Many hair follicles stop producing new hairs. As hair ages, its life cycle is shorter.
We all get sucked in with media advertisements telling us we can regain the lush thick locks we once had. Well ladies nearly all the celebrities you see on Television have an army of stylists daily attending to them with hairpieces, wigs and extensions.
Products like Volumizing Shampoos, Hair thickening Spray, Moisturise and Hydrate pastes, Growth-Supporting Serum or Hair-Boosting Supplement are only a temporary solution all they do is add a coating to the hair shaft that once you stop using the product or use something else it will come away.
So you’re probably reading this and thinking come on get to the point.
Well my point is to get the height, volume and shape you need on thinner hair your going need to “bite the bullet” and take the chop or at least take a style change, and i don’t mean a cropped short cut. I mean if your lengths are so thin you can see your shirt pattern though it ,cut it off blunt ,it will instantly look thicker . If you hair is so thin and shape less it sits flat to your head with no movement have your hairdresser cut into it , texturize it. don’t be afraid to try something new. Wear short hair down and around your face not messy and spiky as it than shows more of the exposed hairline IF your wearing it longer go for longer layers and blunt edges and if super fine avoid a fringe it will just look too wispy and if you have a super heavy fringe you’d only be stealing the hair weight from where you really need else where.
